Date Night in Seattle Ide: Green Lake Park

The park is located downtown and offers a beautiful view of the lake. There are several picnic tables scattered throughout the park that can be reserved for two hours on weekdays at no cost. The park also has an amphitheater where live music performances take place during the summer months.

You can also visit Lake Washington if you want to do some kayaking or just ride on a rowboat.

Capitol Hill

The Capitol Hill neighborhood is one of the best places in the city to find lots of bars and restaurants with delicious food, drinks, and plenty of outdoor seating.

Capitol hill has plenty of Romantic restaurants with Italian food, cocktail bars with excellent cocktails like classic cocktails and craft cocktails, and also plenty of places where you can get an excellent beer like craft beer.

It’s known for its lively nightlife and hipster vibe, which makes it easy to meet other people who share your interests. Head to this area for fun activities such as comedy shows and live jazz concerts or just go here on a special occasion for some delicious food.

Gas Works Park

This waterfront park was once home to a gas works that produced electricity until it closed in 1988. Today, it serves as a public park and recreation space featuring walking/running paths, bike lanes, tennis courts, volleyball, cricket, basketball, playgrounds, and more. Visit in spring when the cherry trees bloom and fall when they turn red and yellow.

University District

If you’re looking for something different than typical tourist attractions, consider checking out the University District. Located right next door to the Central District, it’s filled with cafes, boutiques, and unique galleries. You won’t feel like you’ve traveled too far if you visit this district.

Pike Place Market

What better way to end the date than visiting Pike Place Market? Located near Downtown, this market features both fresh seafood and delicious desserts. Stop and grab lunch before heading out for some ice cream. You may even see some locals shopping here.

Seattle Art Museum

If you have more time in Seattle, check out this museum. The art collection spans centuries and contains works by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Vincent Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, Renoir, Jackson Pollock, and others. Admission prices vary depending on the exhibit so make sure you book ahead.

Bainbridge Island

Heading off to an island? A quick day trip over to San Juan Island will give you access to nearby beaches, hiking trails, kayak rentals, and more. Make sure to bring mosquito repellent, a jacket, and water bottles. You can also have a whale-watching tour at San Juan Island.

One of my favorite places to go when I’m craving coffee is Cafe Racer. They have amazing pastries, fresh lemonade, and delicious egg sandwiches. If you don’t feel like sitting inside, they offer sidewalk seating as well. While it isn’t the most romantic spot in the world it’s something an active couple can do to spend some time outdoors, I always feel comfortable here.

Maritime Museum

Located in downtown Seattle, the Maritime Museum provides visitors with a unique look into our history. Their exhibits cover everything from the earliest Native American settlements to World War II. It’s worth checking out if you are interested in learning more about this region.

A Walk Along the Waterfront

We can’t forget about all of Seattle’s wonderful waterfront areas. From Discovery Park to Pier 59, there are so many different ways to experience the city’s water. You can even rent kayaks and paddleboards to explore the area. While you might not find any romantic views, walking along the waterfront allows you to see the beauty of Puget Sound and get a little exercise while you’re at it.

Seattle Aquarium

If you aren’t familiar with the aquarium, it’s one of the largest public aquariums in the country. Visitors can observe over ten thousand marine animals including penguins, sea otters, jellyfish, and other species.
